Stephanie L. Cullins is a proud first-generation American, the daughter of Uruguayan immigrants, whose journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to history, community, and equity. With a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Public Administration, she has devoted over a decade of her career to advancing mission-driven work across the nonprofit sector. Her leadership spans diverse fields, including health care, land policy, mindfulness, and the stewardship of urban and historic national parks, each reflecting her dedication to building stronger, more inclusive communities.
Stephanie currently serves as Executive Director of the Hamilton Partnership for Paterson, where she is honored to work at the heart of the Paterson community. There, at the site of Alexander Hamilton’s vision for America’s first city of industry, she leads efforts to connect history, culture, and civic engagement in transformative ways. Alongside her nonprofit leadership, Stephanie teaches Modern World History and U.S. Through Reconstruction at William Paterson University, guiding students through the complexities of the past to better understand today’s challenges.
As a Latina woman, Stephanie centers equity in all aspects of her work, bringing the perspectives of both scholarship and lived experience. Beyond her professional roles, she is an active volunteer, serving as a board trustee and consultant for nonprofit organizations that share her commitment to justice, access, and community empowerment. In her free time Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters in nature or doing physical and art-based activities.
